Sheetz will raise prices on select Hershey Co. chocolate bars this week in response to a cost increase from the manufacturer, the company announced.

The price change, effective Tuesday, Sept. 17, applies to king-size and regular-size Hershey's, Reese's, Kit Kat, and PayDay candy bars. The increase is a result of a 26 percent cost increase by Hershey, according to Sheetz.

The adjustment affects only Hershey-branded items, with all other products at Sheetz locations remaining at their current price, the company said.

Notices of the price change will be posted in all Sheetz stores, according to Nick Ruffner, a public affairs manager for Sheetz.
