Bismack Biyombo is taking his talents back to Texas.
The veteran centre agreed to a one-year deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Monday.
Biyombo, 33, spent 28 games with the Spurs last season, averaging 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.
A first-round pick (seventh overall) in 2011, the Congo native has played for the Charlotte Bobcats and Hornets, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder and Spurs in his career.
Over 867 games with those clubs, he’s put up 5.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.
His best season might have come with the Raptors in 2015-16, when he played all 82 games and hauled in a career-high eight rebounds per game.
In San Antonio, he’ll continue to provide frontcourt depth
