A woman who was killed in a double murder in Pembroke Pines was identified on Monday following the arrest of a suspect.

Police identified her a Tiara Belizaire-Young.

Isaiah Collins, 27, is accused of killing Belizaire-Young and Octavis Myers after their bodies were found on Wednesday at a home in the 1700 block of Northwest 109th Avenue in Pembroke Pines.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, an off-duty deputy saw Collins at a park in Miami Gardens on Sunday.

When backup was requested, Collins ran across the Florida Turnpike, jumped into a canal and climbed up a tree.

Deputies said that Collins gestured towards his waistband as he appeared to reach for something, which prompted a deputy to fire their weapon.
