Four Oakland County cannabis businesses were fined by the state after investigations dating back to 2023.
Golden Rockies, doing business as Moses Roses , 5806 Dixie Hwy, in Waterford Township, was fined $2,000 for failing to report a contract to use the Moses Roses service mark, which is owned by a company named Trvst. Golden Rockies had not filed the proper paperwork to use Moses Roses, which was part of the dispensary’s brand since 2023. As part of the disciplinary agreement, the company filed the paperwork in April.
Bloomfield Hills-based attorney Peter Tangalos is one of the dispensary’s owners. He called the violation a minor paperwork issue because the dispensary and the company that owns Moses Roses’ trademarks are legally separate, but owned by the same people.
