CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Police are looking for two suspects in connection with an assault at a Cape Girardeau home.

According to Patrolman Bobby Newtown with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, officers responded to the 700 block of South Ellis around 10 p.m. on Sunday, September 14 for a reported assault.

Officers say the victim told them two men knocked on their door, and when the victim opened the door, the two men came inside. The victim said one of the suspects punched them several times.

The suspects fled the scene, and the victim was treated by medical personnel.
