On Sept. 15 Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the country's capital of Jerusalem. During this trip, both reaffirmed the US-Israel alliance with Netanyahu stating, "Mr. Secretary, Marco, your visit to our eternal and undivided capital of Jerusalem is a powerful affirmation of a powerful bond." They also went on to condemn Hamas and Iran and demanded the release of the remaining hostages.
