COBB COUNTY, Ga. — An unspecified number of Cobb County School District teachers have been placed on administrative leave after they wrote social media posts apparently celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The school district also will report the incidents to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, "requesting appropriate action against their Georgia teaching license," according to a statement released on Monday.
In the statement, the district said the incidents "do not reflect the outstanding professionalism demonstrated by the vast majority of Cobb educators daily."
