U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz said he's taking matters into his own hands when it comes to "Erasing evil" as the Republican painted over some explicit graffiti along a Houston highway.

Cruz shared photos and a video of himself on Sunday painting over graffiti that read "F— Charlie Kirk" on a structure along the Southwest Freeway in West Houston. Kirk, 31, a polarizing conservative activist, was shot and killed last week while speaking at a university in Utah, where a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to Kirk’s death.
