MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company announced Monday its Hilldale location will close in November.

The restaurant said changing restaurant and retail landscape, as well as falling revenue at the Hilldale location, were the reasons for the closure.

Hilldale will remain open with normal hours, a full menu and beer lineup, until its final day, on Nov. 8.

Great Dane co-founder and president Eliot Butler said deciding to close was difficult.

“Hilldale has been part of our story for 19 years, and the community means so much to all of us,” Butler said. “We’re forever grateful to the team and the guests who made it special.”

Anyone with events scheduled at the Hilldale location was asked to call the restaurant this week to schedule their event at a different location.
