Gov. Shapiro fires back at Trump for using the ‘rhetoric of rage’ with his ‘scum’ remark

Gov. Josh Shapiro is firing back at President Donald Trump for calling liberal Americans ‘scum’ and called on Trump to try to unite, not divide the country.

In remarks to the media on Sunday, Trump, without evidence, blamed the left for stirring up violence.

“The problem is on the left. It’s not on the right, like some people like to say,” said Trump.“When you look at the agitators — you look at the scum that speaks so badly of our country, the American flag burnings all over the place — that’s the left, not the right."
