CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A memorial and prayer vigil will be held Thursday, September 18, at 6 p.m. at Riverside at the West Virginia State Capitol in honor of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot at Utah Valley University on September 10.

The event will include participation from Governor Patrick Morrisey, local pastors, and representatives from Turning Point USA.

Organizers are encouraging the public to join and share the invitation with family and friends.

In a video posted to social media, Governor Morrisey remembered Kirk as a friend and praised his advocacy for free speech and conservative causes.
