Netflix and its algorithm excels at turning shows into hits that otherwise might have fallen into irrelevance. Sometimes, it does this by taking older shows and giving them a second life when they're added to the streaming service. But other times, it takes shows produced by other companies and brands them as its own. That's what Netflix did with "The Hunting Wives," and it's become a smash hit out of nowhere this summer.

However, because "The Hunting Wives" wasn't technically produced by Netflix — Lionsgate initially developed it for Starz — it's taken longer than expected for Netflix to commit to more episodes. Well, I finally have good news for fans of the salacious thriller, because "The Hunting Wives" has been officially renewed by Netflix for season 2.
