Vice President JD Vance called Charlie Kirk the "smartest political operative" he ever met while filling in on the assassinated conservative activist's show Monday. "Every single person in this building [the White House] -- we owe something to Charlie," the vice president added, describing Kirk as a "joyful warrior." Vance also called Kirk "a critical part of getting Donald Trump elected as president" in 2024 -- adding that "so much of our success over the last seven months is due to his efforts."
