PHOENIX ( AZFamily /Gray News) — A 19-year-old man was arrested after allegedly “destroying” a Charlie Kirk memorial in Phoenix on Sunday, police said.

According to Phoenix police, the incident happened at the memorial for Kirk outside Turning Point USA headquarters.

Phoenix police said officers were already in the area to help control traffic when the alleged vandalism occurred.

The suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Ryder Corral, was detained by witnesses until he was taken into custody by responding officers. There were no serious injuries.

Jail records show Corral was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage.

Video obtained by Fox News shows Corral trampling over flowers, balloons and other items left at the memorial site.
