Man dies from injuries after being shot in Compton

COMPTON – Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death of a man in Compton.

Deputies from the department’s Compton Sheriff’s Station responded at approximately 11:04 p.m. Sunday to the 1500 block of 155th St. between South Central and South Nestor Avenues where they found the victim, said homicide Lt. Michael Modica.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
