Stein announces Standing Order to increase access to COVID-19 vaccines

To increase access to safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines for those who so choose, on Sept. 12, Governor Josh Stein directed State Health Director Dr. Larry Greenblatt to issue Standing Orders if, in his medical judgment, it advances the public health.

Dr. Greenblatt has now issued Standing Orders that allow seniors 65 years or older and adults over 18 years who meet certain criteria to get a COVID-19 vaccine at a pharmacy without having to get a prescription from a provider.
