CLAYTON — Normandy Schools Collaborative has reached a $700,000 settlement over sexual assault claims brought by a mother and her minor daughter.

A petition requesting St. Louis County court to approve the settlement this month named Christopher Daniels as a defendant along with the school district.

Daniels, a former Normandy Middle teacher, was charged with multiple sex crimes involving a girl younger than 14 in April 2024. A spokesperson for Normandy Schools Collaborative said at the time that Daniels had been dismissed after the district learned of the accusations.

Daniels' criminal case is still making its way through court, with a jury trial scheduled to start Sept. 29.
