BARDSTOWN, Ky. — The final men convicted in Crystal Rogers’ murder will soon be sentenced to prison after a month-long delay.
Following a nine-day trial in July, Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson were convicted in the Bardstown mom’s 2015 disappearance and murder.
Houck, Rogers’ ex-boyfriend, was found guilty of murder (principle or accomplice) and tampering with physical evidence. Lawson was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.
The jury recommended both men serve the maximum prison sentence: life in prison for Houck and 25 years for Lawson.
Houck and Lawson’s sentencing is expected to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
