LONG BEACH – Long Beach Police Department officers are continuing their investigation Monday of a stabbing near the Lindbergh neighborhood west of North Long Beach.

Police were called at approximately 11:40 a.m. Saturday to a Long Beach hospital regarding a stabbing. When they arrived at the hospital, the officers interviewed a man who had taken himself to the hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body, according to the police department.

A preliminary investigation of the stabbing revealed that the victim was walking in the area of the 5600 block of Linden Avenue when he was approached by two suspects. A brief altercation ensued, and one of the suspects stabbed the victim, police said.
