BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A man has been arrested after allegedly setting fire to a home in Baton Rouge, investigators said.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, Eloy Mora, 31, is charged with aggravated arson.

The fire happened around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, on Tracy Avenue. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find flames coming from the back of the home.

Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office were informed by someone that the fire had allegedly been set on purpose by the suspect, according to BRFD. Officials added that deputies then detained Mora and asked Baton Rouge fire investigators to help in determining a cause.

Following an investigation and witness statements, authorities arrested Mora.
