Fort Atkinson celebrates new pickleball courts at City Park

FORT ATKINSON, Iowa — Fort Atkinson City Park has unveiled new pickleball courts as part of its Park Revitalization Program, now open for play thanks to the support of local organizations and community members. Phase One of the project transformed the city court into a multi-use area, adding two pickleball courts and updating two basketball courts, broadening recreational opportunities for residents. Funding sources for the project included: $12,000 from the Winneshiek County Community Foundation $1,200 from AcenTek $5,000 from The Depot Outlet $5,700 from Shake it Up at the Park fundraiser $13,891 from private donations $670 from Can Redemption “This revitalization is about more than just new courts, it’s about building a stronger, healthier, and more connect
