A man is facing murder charges after a deadly shooting in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on Sunday.

Damien Manuel German, 25, a city resident, is accused in the shooting on Newbury Street, according to the Essex County District Attorney's Office. The victim's identity was not publicly released, and the court documents have been impounded.

German was charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. He pleaded not guilty and was held without. A probable cause hearing is set for Oct. 15.
