AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is continuing to investigate a homicide that happened over the weekend in southeast Austin at a mobile home park.

Officers responded to a call at the Frontier Valley Mobile Home Park on Frontier Valley Drive, off East Riverside Drive on Saturday night around 10:30 p.m., according to APD.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive man with apparent trauma to his body. Police said the victim, later identified as Mario Palacios-Carrillo, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said at the time of the incident there were several people in the area. Detectives and crime scene specialists arrived at the scene and interviewed witnesses.
