UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies is the first hospital in Northern Colorado to be designated a thrombectomy-capable stroke center, according to a release.
The advanced designation, announced recently by The Joint Commission, recognizes a commitment to providing high-quality stroke care, including mechanical thrombectomy procedures and post-procedural care. The designation is based on a rigorous evaluation of the program’s staff expertise, infrastructure, education, quality and safety measures.
