Two people died in a head-on car crash Saturday night on I-90 near Missoula, according to a Montana Highway Patrol release.

According to the release, a 23-year-old man from Florence was driving his Hyundai in the wrong direction on I-90 at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday when he collided with a 26-year-old Arlee woman driving a Mazda. The two cars collided head-on in the left lane. The Mazda came to rest on the north shoulder, while the Hyundai overturned in the median, partially ejected the driver and caught fire. Both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene.

The woman was wearing a seat belt, while the man wasn't. Alcohol is suspected as a factor, according to the release.
