A spectator who died after falling from a freeway on-ramp during a sideshow in Crockett over the weekend has been identified as a 16-year-old Southern California boy, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Jose Cuevas, of Harbor City in the Los Angeles area, died early Saturday morning after he fell about 75 feet from an Interstate 80 ramp near the Carquinez Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP is still investigating but said Monday that the death is believed to be accidental.

On Saturday, the CHP responded about 3:30 a.m. to a sideshow involving over 100 vehicles that was blocking the intersection of Pomona and Merchant streets in Crockett.
