MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- If you’ve been driving in Shelby County, you’ve probably noticed more law enforcement on the roadways.
It comes days after Governor Bill Lee announced there would be additional Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers to help the Memphis Police.
It’s also happening as the City of Memphis prepares for the deployment of the National Guard.
The deployment of more THP troopers in Shelby County has some leaders concerned about the impact it can have on courts and jails that they say are already strained.
