MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Two men have been arrested in connection to a commercial business robbery in the city of Monona, the Monona Police Department announced Monday.

MOPD says they were called to a non-residential burglary on Sep. 2 around 11:30 a.m. after a store manager reported a shed had been broken into. Over $10,000 worth of property was stolen from the shed, the agency noted.

Officers processed the scene along with the Monona Police Department Detective division and were able to identify a suspect.

The suspect was apprehended on Sep. 9 during a traffic stop, who by then had an active warrant through the Department of Corrections.

The suspect allegedly told police that the stolen property was sold to a scrapyard for its metal value.
