WALKER, Iowa (KCRG) - A family farm in Walker has canceled its annual Fall Festival this year.

Powerful storms hit Pine Hill Farm in Walker in July. It damaged the farm’s flower fields , corn stalks, and the pumpkins growing for the Fall Festival.

Severe weather rolled through Eastern Iowa back on July 11, bringing heavy rain, high winds, and even hail to Pine Hill Farm.

“I told her the night before the hail, I said man, this is the best pumpkin crop we’ve ever had, I’m excited to see it happen,” said Jacob Kubik.

Jacob Kubik and his wife Cassandra own and operate their farm as a family.

They’ve been growing pumpkins for 8 years, and this would’ve been the seventh year for the Fall Festival.
