A 15-year-old boy was found stabbed after police were called to reports of a "disturbance involving a number of people" in an inner-city area.

Greater Manchester Police said it rushed to Monton Street, in the Moss Side area of the city where officers found the teenager with stab wounds this afternoon. He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead. A murder probe has now been launched.

The force stated: "We were called to Monton Street, Moss Side, at just after 4:30pm today (15 September 2025) to reports of a disturbance involving a number of people.
