Two similar trials – truck drivers accused of smuggling millions of dollars in heroin and cocaine over the Blue Water Bridge – took place at the same time Monday at the Sarnia courthouse.

In one courtroom was the second week of Crown evidence from a $7.5 million drug bust at the twin-span bridge from April 8, 2022. Charanpreet Singh, a 25-year-old truck driver from Brampton when he was arrested 3.5 years ago, pleaded not guilty last week to four importing and trafficking-related charges linked to those two drugs.
