Heaven Lee had a lot of his Filipino heritage to show the thousands who gathered for the third-annual Cornwall Culture Fest, Saturday at Lamoureux Park.

“I’m pretty happy to represent my martial arts,” Lee said, after playing bass guitar with the ‘ Filipino Community Group ’ band, which backed other singers, dancers, and even himself.

Lee put down his bass and re-emerged with two wooden sticks, to wow the audience with ‘Arnis,’ a Filipino sword dance.

“It’s very small, and it’s very niche,” Lee said.

“I’ve been trying to get that out, but it’s really hard,” he said, of free Saturday classes at Cornwall Square.

He has recruited a couple of students, but many have had a chance to watch him at city cultural shows, such as Cornwall Culture Fest, and the Filipino and
