The Conjuring: Last Rites is performing incredibly well in theaters as fans swarm cinemas to see Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson play infamous demonologists Lorraine and Ed Warren one more time.

In fact, the movie is doing so well that it broke the record for highest-performing horror movie at the box office, surpassing 2017′s It , reports Variety . Given its success, it’s doubtful Warner Bros. will let this franchise die out any time soon.

Although Last Rites has been marketed as the “final” film in the saga, it’s really only the end of part one. Earlier this year, New Line Cinema boss Richard Brener even told The Hollywood Reporter that this film merely marked the end of “phase one” with the second phase “TBD.”
