Bruno Fernandes may have under-performed for Manchester United so far this season - but he isn't at fault for their poor results.

That's according to talkSPORT's Troy Deeney , who also believes there is an element of selfishness amongst the squad at Old Trafford.

United are 14th in the Premier League table following the 3-0 defeat away to rivals Manchester City on Sunday evening.

They have made their worst start to a season since the 1992/93 campaign when they also picked up four points from as many matches.

Club captain Fernandes has played in a deeper midfield role despite scoring 99 goals and assisting 86 in 295 matches in all competitions as an attacking outlet for United.
