HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Residents of Houston County are raising concerns after two school district employees posted messages mocking the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on social media.
Joanna Thomas, who has lived in Warner Robins for 16 years, said she was bothered by the posts.
“I was pretty sad to see something like that happening in where I'm from,” Thomas said.
She expressed worry about the attitude behind the posts, especially coming from people who work around children.
“If individuals are comfortable enough saying this on their social media where anyone can see it and they work for the school system, what are they saying in their classrooms?” Thomas said.
The Houston County School District has a five-page social media policy that outlines expectations for employee
