OAK BLUFFS, Mass. (WLNE) — The Oak Bluffs Police Department said a man was arrested after he allegedly threatened to bring a gun to the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital on Sept. 14.
67-year-old Stephen Green was charged with terroristic threats.
Police said officers responded to a report of a man who had threatened to bring a shotgun to the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital around 8 a.m.
According to Oak Bluffs police, Green had initially called the hospital regarding a bill he had received.
During the call, the hospital employee told the defendant that the billing department was closed and that he could speak to them on the next business day.
Green then allegedly said he would be in the hospital with a shotgun, prompting the employee to contact hospital security.
