Two lucky New Jersey Lottery players from Camden and Monmouth counties each claimed $500,000 prizes from scratch-off tickets purchased on the same day last week, lottery officials said Monday.
The Camden County winner purchased a $10 Neon 9’s ticket from Country Farms, located at 704 Blackwood Clementon Road in Pine Hill on Monday.
This marked the first top prize claimed in the newly released game, with two additional top prizes of $500,000 still available.
“I was always told to go with my first guess,” the winner told New Jersey Lottery officials while claiming the prize last week. “That was the first ticket I thought to get when I was in the store. I told myself to get it, but I didn’t for some reason. But this time, I went ahead and grabbed it.”
