AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Memorials continue to grow across the CSRA in honor of a mother and daughter shot and killed in the Augusta Best Buy parking lot.
Deputies say Melissa Domingo, 41, and her mother, 79-year-old Elizabeth Domingo, were there for a custody exchange when they were shot and killed.
The suspect, the child’s father and Melissa’s ex-husband, 41-year-old Hajir Taleb-Zadeh.
He faces two counts of murder and one count of child cruelty, according to officials.
Heartbreak, confusion and immense sadness have been felt, but as those who were close to Melissa and her mother try and grasp the loss, the community is coming together to show their support.
