Although Colorado might not be the first state you think of when it comes to entertainment performance awards, the state has produced plenty of stars throughout the years – including one who broke an Emmy record this year.

1. Bowen Yang

Yang was nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” for the fourth time this year, for his work on Saturday Night Live. This nomination broke the record for the most-nominated male Asian performer in Emmys history, according to Variety .
