The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping for some good news regarding their injured star shortstop.

Bo Bichette, who was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sept. 9 with sprained left knee injury, is in Dallas receiving a second opinion on the injury, according to Sportsnet’s Arden Zwelling on Monday.

Zwelling added the Blue Jays are hopeful the second opinion would help formulate a timeline for the slugger’s return, and that Bichette will rejoin the club in Tampa in the coming days.

Bichette sprained his left PCL after a collision at home plate with Yankees catcher Austin Wells. Prior to the injury, the shortstop was slugging .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs in 139 games – the most he’s appeared in since the 2022 season.
