HOUSTON (KIAH) — Several trucks and cars were recovered a field in east Harris County that authorities believe was a chop shop.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 2 Patrol deputies tracked a stolen vehicle to a vacant lot in east Harris County that appeared to be operating as a chop shop. • (Harris County Sheriff's Office) • (Harris County Sheriff's Office) • (Harris County Sheriff's Office)

With assistance from detectives and a search warrant, deputies recovered eight GM trucks, a Ford Raptor and a Corvette. These vehicles, valued at approximately $550,000, were found in various stages of being dismantled.

All the vehicles were recovered, and the case remains under active investigation.
