AKRON, Ohio - A 21-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday after authorities said he broke into an Akron residence, where he had been served with a protection order just 30 minutes earlier.
No charges have been filed in the shooting and authorities have not yet identified the man killed in the shooting.
Police said about 12:30 p.m. that police and Summit County Sheriff’s deputies served the 21-year-old man with a protection order at a residence in the 1200 block of Sylvan Avenue.
The order prohibited him from being on the property, or near a 57-year-old woman who lived there with her 25-year-old son. Officers escorted the man away from the residence after informing him he could not return, officials said.
