AUSTIN (KXAN) — Lifetime Longhorn and former NFL defensive back Rod Babers has never been accused of having weak opinions or being unprepared, and he showed up at the KXAN studio with hand-written notes and ready to talk about the Longhorns.
Babers, who can also be heard on the 3rd and Longhorn podcast on KXAN+, joined Roger Wallace and Billy Gates to talk about Texas' underwhelming 27-10 victory over UTEP on Sept. 13 and what it's like to be on the field when boos are raining down from the home crowd.
He was an All-American cornerback for the Longhorns in 2002, but Babers knows the ball on all sides, and he shared some of his unique insight that only a high-level former player can provide.
