A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a teenager in Moss Side on Monday evening.

Police and paramedics were called to Monton Street, off Moss Lane, shortly after 4.30pm following reports of an incident.

The victim, who was 15 and has not yet been named, was said by Greater Manchester Police to have been found with stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
