South Carolina public safety officials are cracking down on distracted driving and informing the public about the risks of roadside work through a weeklong initiative: Operation Keep Us Safe.
Starting on Monday, and throughout the week, members of the state Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol will be working alongside local law enforcement agencies to enforce Slow Down, Move Over and Hands-Free driving laws. 46 county sheriffs and police chiefs across the state are joining in the effort.
