SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) - Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Davis released new details Monday regarding the case of two Lowcountry women found dead in a Sumter County field.

Sheriff Dennis said the sheriff's office investigation has led them to believe these killings were drug-related and also possibly involved solicitation.

Tiamo Henry Mitchell-Drakeford faces a murder charge, along with weapon possession during a violent crime and desecration of human remains. Drakeford was once a resident of Charleston County, according to law enforcement.

On Friday, Aug. 8, police discovered two women dead in a wooded area near Richbow Road near Rembert. They later identified the victims as Kristen Grissom, 38, of North Charleston, and Christine McAbee, 35, of Walterboro.
