(KBTX) - Texas A&M Quarterback Marcel Reed and Defensive Tackle Albert Regis earned Week 3 awards after defeating Notre Dame 41-40 on Saturday.

On Monday, Regis was named the SEC defensive lineman of the week after recording seven tackles and a sack against the Fighting Irish.

“They was talking all that talk, 200 rushing yards, saying our run defense wasn’t good. So we took that very, very, very personally,” said Regis.

Quarterback Marcel Reed was also selected to the Davey O’Brien Great 8 and a Manning Award Star of the Week. Reed threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns against Notre Dame. Reed’s second touchdown came with less than 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to Tight End Nate Boerkircher.
