MARTINSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence extended its winning streak to three straight matches with a four-set win over Martinsville during girls high school volleyball action on Monday night.

The Stars recorded a 25-21, 25-13, 16-25, 25-21 triumph over the Artesians (7-12).

BNL was busy at the net. Sammie Gratzer pounded down 24 kills while Trinidy Bailey, Izzy Root and Lily Mishler added 11 kills each. Bailey totaled 20 digs on the back row while Suttyn Alvey added 13 digs.

“There were a lot of kills spread all around,” BNL coach Aaron Wagoner said. “Outside of set 3, they played some of their best volleyball. We were scrapping on tips and blocked shots, digging cross shots, they were nearly perfect in serve receive.
