WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following a homicide in Waterbury on Monday night.

At around 7:48 p.m. officers were called to the area of Charles Street after a report of a shots fired incident, the police department said.

When crews arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was then pronounced dead on scene.

This incident remains under investigation.
