Defenses took over and quarterbacks C.J. Stroud and Baker Mayfield took a pounding on Monday.

It was Mayfield who came up huge when it mattered most, though, orchestrating a brilliant 80-yard game-winning drive as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Houston Texans, 20-19.

After a 53-yard kick return by rookie Jaylin Noel set up a Nick Chubb 25-yard touchdown, the Texans held a 19-14 lead, but Mayfield wouldn't be denied.
